Abstract :
The paper illuminates a new robotic system, library robotic system, which is used for identifying a requested book, retrieving it from the bookshelves, and carrying it to the destination area. Some key issues, such as map yielding, location estimation, path-following control and book identification, are discussed. The developments of mechanical system, control system, and software system are presented.
