Abstract
This paper first illustrates that errors associated with certain network parameters can not be correctly identified if the only available measurements are the conventional measurements. The paper then analyzes the conditions which lead to such cases and searches for an efficient way to eliminate them. This involves a parameter error identification method which requires the use of phasor measurements. Algorithm to implement the method and several illustrative examples are presented.
