Abstract
Slow and Fast light technologies based on coherent population oscillations in SOAs followed by optical filtering provide a promising platform for the implementation of several functionalities in Microwave Photonic systems including, among others, broadband phase shifting and true time delays. This paper presents and develops the main figures of merit (Link Gain, Noise and Distortion) when these devices are integrated in a Microwave Photonic Links.
