Abstract :
This paper presents the implementation of the low voltage ride-through (LVRT) voltage curve based on two different grid models. The first grid model is based on an inductive divisor, the classic model used in electromagnetic transient analyses and the second one is based on an equivalent dynamic model of the grid which is usually used in dynamic analyses of power systems. Both grid models and their associated LVRT voltage curves are implemented by using electromagnetic time domain simulation (PSCAD/EMTDC). The LVRT curve is evaluated based on the Spanish REE grid.
