Abstract :
A new method for the analysis of the steady state and small signal dynamic behaviour of a series resonant type converter used for an X-ray generator has been developed. The generator consists of a frequency controlled series resonant thyristor, type converter and is loaded by a high voltage transformer and rectifier with capacitance filters. On the basis of the mathematical analysis a new, powerful, fast method is obtained to determine the steady state features of the converter circuit. In addition, a small signal model, transformed to the constant pulse time is also given, applied to the small signal stability investigations of the controlled resonant type power converter.
