Abstract :
We demonstrate that this meniscus between two immiscible liquid can be used as an optical scanner, which is a device that can control the position of a light beam in one or more orthogonal spatial dimensions. It is showed that the incident light can be deflected by switching the electrode drive voltage of the liquid device. This idea is the key to design of the proposed liquid prism that can allow a beam scan between the discrete states of the applied voltage
