Abstract
Three kinds of oils, they are diesel oil, motorcycle oil and gasoline, were adopted as the polluted sources, and the hyperspectral polarimetric characteristic of soil polluted by different oils was discussed. Experimental results have shown that soil polluted by oil has remarkable polarimetric characteristic compared with clean soil. Besides, the hyperspectral polarimetric characteristic of soil polluted by oil is also related with different affecting factors, such as observation azimuth, incidence angle of the light source, observation zenith angle as well as the chosen waveband of the detector.
