Abstract :
A typical array processing task is used as an example to demonstrate a conceptual decomposition procedure. This procedure partitions the total task into a large number of multiple interconnected modules (MIMs). These modules will have adequate annotations to estimate the capacity requirements of a specific partition of the task. It is useful to estimate the computation or communication requirements in a parallel architecture program mapping process. Details of the requirements are developed, and experimental results for the array processing tasks are given
