Abstract :
Assuring the correct temporal presentation of multimedia objects is called multimedia synchronization. How to specify the temporal relations in multimedia objects is one of the main issues in the research of multimedia synchronization This paper examines how many and which temporal relations are in multimedia systems. On the basis of it, we propose an interval-based generalized synchronization model, which can be used to specify all temporal relations in multimedia systems
