Abstract :
The article gives information on a project, developed in Florence at the Institute for Legal Documentation at the Italian National Research Council, that has the aim to realize an electronic database with legal terms selected from Italian legal texts from its oldest written tradition (X century BC) until today. The archives contain almost a million legal words related to legislation and jurisprudence. The most important work has been that of saving all paper cards of primitive archives by reproducing them in images. The purpose is to put this original and specialist legal archive, structured as a documentary system, on the great international networks
