Abstract :
This paper presents two practical control systems for DC link inverter-fed induction motor drives without a speed sensor. The first drive system is based on the direct torque and flux control principle and the second on a synchronous voltage regulator. The principles of the methods are discussed and some simulated as well as experimental oscillograms illustrating the properties of both drive systems are presented
