  • Abstract
    Remote monitoring and control system often use wireless communication to connect the centre and local devices at present. In order to solute HMI communication with the remote devices via GPRS networks, An OPC server application was developed with C++ builder environment. OPC server sends and receives data using GPRS networks by TCP/IP protocol and provides OPC data access channel to HMI. It has been used to monitor and control the heat exchanger station in city heat supply system. The OPC server has configurable and project management features that make it easy to apply to the distributed SCADA system.
