Abstract :
Gain scheduling controller was designed to deal with the aerodynamic variation of a winged large-airspace-maneuvering missile. The missile body equations were simplified as time-varying linear transfer functions by normal trajectory calculation. Taking height as operating condition, gain scheduling compensated for the aerodynamic uncertainty. While overshoot, long settling time and even instability tended to occur when gain was switched, an anti-windup and conditioned transfer (AWCT) compensator was introduced to reduce these deteriorations. The AWCT compensator could also reduce windup effect under constraints and switching of controller modes. Characteristic point simulations and full trajectory simulations show the effectiveness of the control system.
