Abstract :
This study developed a low cost serial data transmission method. By using this method, commonly used data transmission cable can be omitted. The result shows that with baud rate of 9600 bps, stable data transmission can be realized. In order to implant serial data to DC power line, electric circuit was designed to convert serial data into serial data modulated sine signal (carrier signal) which is transmittable over DC power line (coding & decoding). 2 MCUs are included in the circuit, one for modulation, and the other for demodulation. With this feature, MCU can recognize different carrier frequency by simply changing program parameters. The method is now under real environment testing stage in experiment equipment.
