Research on ecosystem assessment indicator system of ecological function region for ecological compensation

For the purpose of facilitating the implementation of ecological compensation, an ecosystem assessment indicator system of ecological function region was established. The theoritical basis and overall thinking were clarified. The research object was determined which is five categories of ecological function region with regulating function. The differences between the ecsystem assessment and ecosystem services assessment was analysed from three aspects: purpose, object and indicator design. Two categories of indicators - common indicators and personality indicators were choosed, using ecosystem as a carrier. The criteria and weight were also discussed. The ultimate goal of this paper is to provide valuable support for ecological compensation implementation of ecological function regions.
