Abstract
Routing in wireless senor network is different from in other networks, since the nodes´ limited energy supported by batteries and the design of routing for wireless sensor network is related to its application. In this paper, we propose a distributed routing protocol for called DHEIRP(distributed hop-based energy iteration routing protocol), which is typically for large-scale sensor network. DHEIRP chooses the hop counts, RSS(received signal strength) and residual energy level as metrics, minimizing energy consumption and balancing nodes´ energy. From numerical simulations, we prove that DHEIRP excels GBR and HBRRP in term of balancing load of the nodes and extending network lifetime.
