Abstract :
Focus on differences in the paper material, printing-ink and printing technology between genuine banknotes and counterfeits, this paper presents a new method to identify the authenticity of banknotes based on the texture roughness. Firstly, we define the texture roughness parameters, and then extract these parameters from illumination transmission images of RMB. Finally, simulation experiment shows the method has a small calculation cost, high accuracy, suitable for application to real-time identify the authenticity of banknotes.
