Abstract

It is no secret the population is rapidly aging. Aged people are easily tortured by many diseases. So the needs of aged people´s healthcare are enormous, this needs bring many opportunities for community healthcare system. A Web-based community healthcare system (WBCHS) is introduced. In WBCHS, the robotized care bed is used as the client, which is located in aged people´s family. It is used to improve the self-tending ability of aged people, and sense the vital signals. The results are transmitted to hospital information system (HIS). So the health status of aged people can be monitored in real time. For developing this system, the Health Level Seven (HL7) standard is introduced, and used to realize information exchange between two heterogeneous computer systems WBCHS and HIS.
