Abstract :
To evaluate the fatty acid compositions of oil-source plants rich in linolenic acids in Changbai Mountain area, the seed oils from wild Manchurian Walnut, Korean Pine, Elderberry, Purple Perilla and Evening Primose were extracted by supercritical CO2 fluid extraction and their fatty acids were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method. The results showed that six fatty acids were determined as palmic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid and linolenic acid; Linolenic acid from above seed oils distributed from 7%–60%, the highest content belonged to Purple Perilla; To unsaturated fatty acids, the highest content belonged to Manchurian Walnut; To essential fatty acid, the highest content belonged to Evening Primose. Manchurian Walnut, Korean Pine and Elderberry belonged to the same cluster by Hierarchical cluster analysis. The analysis and evaluations on the fatty acid compositions of oil from these plants should lay a basis for the further research on these plants exploitation.
