Abstract :
Dispersion pre-distorted 40-Gbit/s 16QAM transmissions over 800-km standard-single mode fiber (~13300 ps/nm) using delay detection is demonstrated with large tolerance to laser phase noise (1-MHz linewidth DFB laser source) and pre-distortion error (±40-km SSMF).
