Abstract
This panel paper focuses on the use of a state estimation method for real time monitoring and control of a distribution feeder. The advantages of the state estimation as well as the challenges associated with adopting such a method in practice have been reviewed. The paper summarizes the enhancements that need to be made to the method so that the new data from advanced Meeting schemes can be used to improve the accuracy of estimation.
