IEC 61850 distributed analog values applications in substation automation systems
Abstract :
IEC 61850 is already an approved international standard for substation communications. It introduces multiple capabilities that allow the development of a new range of substation automation applications. The paper discusses in detail the distributed analog values defined by the standard and presents some examples of how they can be used in advanced applications.
