Abstract :
While many experts believe that the e-voting system offers prominent advantages over plain paper voting system, others express concerns about the potential for large-scale fraud. Many current e-voting systems are not based on the cryptographic technologies and require voters to trust them. Voters cannot be assured that the votes cast accurately reflects their intent because the mechanism for recording votes is hidden in the code for the machine. In this paper, we propose a practical voter-verifiable e-voting scheme using a paper receipt based on cryptographic technologies.
