  • Abstract
    A new X-Y-axes control system is developed for spring formation machines. Based on a newly developed algorithm in a pseudo-code version, a hardware architecture for such systems is derived by using the codesign methodology. Owing to this new approach to motor driven mechanisms, production rate and accuracy of SFMs are greatly improved and the design criteria are duly met
