Abstract
This paper presents a way of frequency calibrations based on GPS (Global Positioning System) common-view with an adaptive technique using fuzzy logic controller. The proposed scheme can be used to calibrate oscillators such that their frequency can be traced back to some reference oscillator with performance much better than the former. For cesium standard, experimental results show that a performance improvement by approximately one order of magnitude can be achieved. This is useful since one can have oscillators with frequency of high accuracy at a lower cost. The scheme can be used to provide sources for use in oscillator proficiency testing and/or comparison systems. Also, it can be used to provide a high-performance primacy reference source for telecommunications networks
