Abstract :
As usage of information technologies developed, governments decided to provide some of their services through these technologies for increasing their efficiency and productivity. Islamic Republic of Iran´s government like other countries try to progress in this way. In this paper we try to evaluate the progress of e-government in Iran by using variety of sources and find strength and weaknesses of Iran by analyzing influencing factors of developing e-government. Our findings show that although the progress of e-government in Iran is tangible in overall view but different influencing parts are not growing in a balanced manner. Iranian government must focus more on its infrastructure component in its e-government programming to create an inclusive sustainable development.
