Abstract :
With the adoption of MIL-STD-188-181B on 20 March 1999, multi-h continuous phase modulation (CPM) became a mandatory requirement of U.S. military UHF SATCOM terminals. A tracking mode bit-error rate simulation was developed to assist in the selection of various design parameters of a multi-h CPM demodulation tracking loop. Simulation results are given for these design parameters enabling a multi-h CPM modem designer to achieve the desired bit-error rate performance
