Abstract
A technique for orthogonalizing the update relation for steepest descent algorithms using pseudorandom (PR) modulation has been developed. It is shown that the application of PR modulation to the constant modulus algorithm (CMA) improves the rate of convergence and reduces the steady state misadjustment. Computer simulation results are presented to illustrate the performance improvement of blind equalization using the CMA with PR modulation
