Study on dispatching IDSS for railway marshalling yard

Intelligent decision support system (IDSS) for railway marshalling yard dispatching is an important component of freight classification computer integrated process system (CIPS). Regard expert system as the core, the design method, overall structure and function of railway marshalling yard dispatching IDSS were proposed. The functions of every part were defined, and the concrete method was provided to realize its function according to the structure dividing of marshalling yard dispatching DSS. The main technology problem, knowledge representation, and inference engine to realize expert system structure of railway marshalling yard dispatching IDSS have been studied thoroughly. Marshalling yard dispatching IDSS can realize knowledge sharing and improve intelligent control mechanism and automatic level.
