Abstract
In this paper, a whole digital on-line nuclear radiation sensor, which can measure resin content of compound materials, is proposed. This sensor uses beta ray as radiation source, a scintillation counter as receiver, and a microcomputer as signal process unit. An example of measuring resin content of some compound materials is given. In addition, a new technique, used to enhance the on-line sensor´s reliability, is put forward, in which a semiconductor refrigerator is used as temperature control unit and a thermal tube as a high efficient heat transfer device. The effectiveness and advantage have been verified by practice
