Abstract :
The vertical input path of an oscilloscope setting at high sensitivity is often damaged while the rising stage of a big pulse signal is measured. From the switch diode type protector, a novel oscilloscope vertical input path protector based-on integrated operational amplifier is developed. The defects such as positive reflection and impedance dis-matching existing in the switch diode type protector are effectively resolved. The amplitude and rising edge of the measured signal are not influenced by the protector. The novel protector can protect effectively the vertical input path of the oscilloscope used for measuring and recording signals of high voltage or of big current, and can work reliably in bandwidth from DC to 200MHz. A relative schematic electrocircuit, some waveforms and conclusions are provided.
