Abstract
In this paper test procedures to characterize the behaviour of a piecewise linear analog-to-digital converter (PLADC) are investigated. The PLADC is a new special converter, where the transfer characteristic is a programmable piece-wise linear line, suitable for smart sensor applications. New tests have been developed, because the converter nonlinear characteristic precludes the straight application of standard techniques
