Abstract :
The “platinum thermoresistor thermal converter” (PTTC) is illustrated. The PTTC is based on a platinum thermoresistor, integral thermal sensor (TS), heated by a flat strap “sandwich” heater resistor (FSSHR), with the following ac-dc transfer error (TE) to frequency (F): TE<2.5 10-4 ppm to 250 kHz; TE=10-3 ppm at 270 kHz; and TE=10-2 ppm at 290 kHz. Therefore, these high accurate results justify the claim that the PTTC can be adopted as a possible high F ac-dc transfer standard converter (ATS). Moreover a prototype of the PTTC in a differential form (PTTCD) to be used as a simultaneous ATS has been designed and constructed and the obtained experimental test results are here presented and critically analyzed
