Abstract
The main concern of this paper was to establish the force model of seeds motion during the sucking process and to find different factors impacting seeds suction performance. Then the mathematical model of forces acting on seeds during the sucking process was established in order to optimize the working parameters including the sucking force F, the rotational speed of cylinder ω and the position angle of vibration seeds bed α. The results showed that the seeds suction performance would be improved with the increasing of α and F but decreased with the increasing of ω. Taking rape seeds as experimental material, seeds suction performance tests were conducted on the JPS-12 test-bed. The optimum parameters combined with the cylinder´s rotational speed of 10rpm, the position angle of vibration seeds bed α of 30°, and the vacuum pressure of 2.5 kPa were received. The parameters were tested with the seeds single pickup ratio of 94.5%, the seeds missing pickup ratio of 1.8% and the seeds multiple pickup ratio of 3.7%.
