This paper puts forward the concept of digital hydraulic file-manufacturing, by combining technologies of high-speed on/off solenoid valve, hydraulic impacting phenomenon and digital electronics. First, the system design and the manufacturing principle are introduced, and then simulations are carried out under AMESim to observe the impacting procedure. Furthermore, discussion of key factors influencing the energy efficiency of the system is provided plus key parameters influencing the dynamic characteristics of the high-speed on/off solenoid valve. The results indicate that the new file-manufacturing approach is energy-saving and low cost.
