Abstract :
In order to develop an optical fiber strain monitoring instrument which can be used in geological disaster monitoring, we studied strain measurement principle of BOTDR, then designed the hardware using microwave electro-optical modulation technology and optical coherence monitoring method and wrote the software, finally, we have successfully developed the distributed optical fiber strain monitoring system. Then we made a simulation experiment and a field application experiment and the results indicate that the monitoring system can be applied to the actual geological disaster monitoring.
