  • Abstract
    This paper analyses the use of the dual-gate comparators, broaden circuit and the icing estimate method on the basis of describing the theories and methods of non-contact icing detection on helicopter rotors; uses DSP module in infrared rotor icing detection system for the first time and describes the design of the hardware circuit and software of the module in detail. It also creatively presents the compensation methods of the switching delay of the dual-gate comparators on the basis of analyzing the circuit and experiment data. An experiment shows that the system designed in this paper achieves better non-contact icing detection on helicopter rotors.
