Abstract :
Radioactively labeled microspheres are indispensable for measurement of myocardial blood flow. The Microsphere Analysis Program (MAP) is a Microsoft C based program for the IBM-compatible personal computer. MAP abstracts data reported to disk from an LKB 1282 CompuGamma multichannel gamma counter. Blood flow data are calculated for each tissue sample and reported in ml/min and ml/min/100 g tissue weight. Blood flow and oxygen consumption data can be reported for each tube individually, or numerous samples can be merged according to user-defined identifiers, to calculate blood flow in reconstructed regions. Microsphere population, blood flow and oxygen consumption (MVO2) data can be graphically represented for individual samples or user-defined regions. This program allows easy analysis, electronic transcription to ASC11-compatible databases, and 2-D or 3-D graphic display of myocardial blood flow/MVO2 data derived from radio-labelled microspheres
