Abstract :
The effect of loading on the performance of the primary group of standard resistors maintaining the ohm at NIS has been investigated at 23°C, the same temperature as the laboratory. For this reason the temperature coefficients of resistance (TCR) have been evaluated at 23°C. The values of α´s are almost half of those evaluated in 1990 by the BIPM, whereas the β values are about the same. The NIS primary resistances standard is shown to reach its steady state value of load correction after about 15 minutes of application of the load. A load coefficient of resistor of ~0.2 ppm/mw was deduced for these resistors
