Abstract :
The zero-current-switching (ZCS) technique significantly reduces the power losses across the switches during switch-on and -off. Unfortunately, most papers discuss power converters only working in single quadrant operation. This paper introduces a four-quadrant DC/DC ZCS quasi-resonant Luo-Converter that is a new type ZCS power converter. It performs soft switching with four-quadrant operation, which effectively reduces the power losses and increases the power transfer efficiency. Testing results verified the authors´ design and analysis
