Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a hybrid transmit diversity scheme which combines transmit adaptive array (TxAA) and prefilter for downlink of multi-input single-output (MISO) wireless CDMA systems. By utilizing the optimum transmit antenna weight and prefilter coefficients which maximize signal-to-noise ratio at the receiver, the proposed scheme significantly outperforms the TxAA or prefilter-only system with slight increase of system complexity. Moreover, the performance gain obtained by the proposed scheme becomes significant for the channels whose multi-path components take similar average powers.
