Abstract :
This paper presents details of the development of an equivalent wind farm model from power coherency aspect. Clustering wind generator units in a large wind farm based on coherency of the impacts during disturbance is used to arrive at equivalent model. Case studies are presented to illustrate this approach using DIgSILENT PowerFactory simulations. A good performance is achieved for all simulation scenarios while comparing the aggregated and detailed models.
