Research on embedded vehicle image monitoring algorithms based on DSP

MPEG-4 video encoder is used to satisfy requirements of the public transport´s monitoring system. There exist many problems. These problems are that in the transmission of each macro block cache is deficiency seriously and video´s frame rate sequence is low. The optimization of motion estimation algorithm, DCT optimization, optimization of SAD, optimization of pixel interpolation, increase of the pre-zero DCT coefficient of the whole identification algorithm and optimization of the MPEG-4 video encoder on TMS320C6455 DSP platform are put forward in this paper.
