Abstract :
A common trend for next generation telecommunication services is to offer personalisable services, meaning that service behaviours are customized by the end-user. This paper focuses on the management of user personalisation data, user profiles, which identify the preferences of the end-user in terms of presentation and usage of the telecommunication services to which he or she is subscribed. The research presented was done with strong considerations to industrial standardisation and in the context of the IST VESPER project (see http://vesper.intranet.gr). It aims to provide a framework for the management of personalisation data, with the consideration that these data are distributed.
