Abstract :
This study proposes a novel image inpainting technique based on bandelet transform. This technique using multi-resolution layer to carry out image restoration, it mainly utilizes the geometrical flow of the neighboring texture of the damaged region as the basis of restoration. Firstly, According to these geometrical flows of image to carry out the warp transform, it makes the textural variation transforms into the nearest domain axis. Then utilizes the bandelet decomposition method to decompose the non-related texture into different bands, and combines the affine searching method to carry out the image restoration. The proposed method can simplify the complexity of the repairing decision method, and improve the performance of image inpainting under HVS. Especially for image with many geometry edges, the performance of image inpainting is very remarkable using the proposed technique.
