Abstract :
Copper-cobalt mixed oxides monolithic catalysts have been prepared by wetness impregnation and evaluated in catalytic combustion of methyl acetate. The catalysts are characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and temperature programmed reduction (TPR). The effects of the Cu/Co molar ratio, calcination temperature and concentrations of methyl acetate on the catalytic performance in total oxidation of methyl acetate are investigated. The results show that the catalytic activity is the highest for catalytic combustion of methyl acetate when the Cu/Co molar ratio is 1∶2 and calcination temperature is 350 °C.
