Abstract :
The reforms of the agricultural irrigation management become the important content of the construction of the conservation-minded society and new socialist countryside, however, the traditional management of client/server mode can´t meet the requirements. Consequently, the optimization of the irrigation management is inevitable according to the development of the irrigation facilities and the complication of the management. Ji Xiang Irrigation station in Hei Longjiang Province was taken as the case study in this research. The network-based information management system of targeted irrigation area was developed on the basis of WebGIS technology, which uses B/S as its structure and ArcIMS and ASP as its core technology. In addition, the developed system is not only used easily and visually, but also providing the comprehensive and accurate information for decision-making.
