Abstract :
A joint detection-decoding (JDD) receiver performs multiuser detection and channel decoding jointly, where information about channel codes is utilized for multiuser detection. The performance of such a receiver is improved, but its complexity is also increased. In this paper, we propose a JDD receiver with reduced complexity, where parallel interference cancellation and convolutional codes are employed. We show its excellent performance via simulation.
