Abstract :
In this paper, we present an automatic, multi-frame, region-feature based motion segmentation technique. Region features are extracted from the first two frames and tracked over several frames. A few motion models are obtained by trajectory clustering on the set of trajectories of the region features´ centroids. Final segmentation is obtained by region classification based on these motion models. The proposed technique combines the advantages of feature based methods and gradient based methods. Unlike the traditional two-frame formulation which is widely used in the literature, our method is a multi-frame formulation, which provides a more coherent interpretation of the scene over time and generates more reliable segmentation result
