Abstract :
Summary form only for tutorial. Wireless communications has become an important tool for the engineer managing communications within today´s office and factory environments. Advances in RF communications, such as Ultra-Wideband, hold the promise of flexibility and substantially reduced costs. These advances, however, have a direct impact on the RF spectrum. Care must be taken to limit the adverse impact on the RF spectrum and avoid the degradation of a valuable limited resource.
